It’s Thursday, and it’s time for popcorn. This week’s version is very easy and full of flavor, perfect for tossing together on a busy night. You’re also likely to have all of the ingredients on hand, which makes this even better. After all, you’re supposed to be making popcorn to relax.
Since it’s so easy to make, it seems a little silly to go on and on before the recipe, so I think I’ll just get right down to it. Here it is, simple and tasty:
9 cups Popcorn, popped
1 cup Cheese Crackers (I used hot and spicy cheez-its or extra toasty cheez-its)
2 Tablespoons Butter, melted
2 teaspoons Taco Seasoning (or you can use this homemade seasoning from Taco Rice)
1 teaspoon powdered Ranch Dressing Mix
Place the popcorn and cheese crackers in a large bowl.
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, taco seasoning, and powdered ranch dressing. Pour over the popcorn and the crackers, and stir gently to combine.
Season with seasoned salt to taste.
*Variation- You can also add in a little pinch of Chipotle or Cayenne powder and the grated zest of a lime to give this a smoky, tangy kick! Grated Parmesan will up the cheesy goodness, and stirring in a clove of finely chopped Garlic would add another layer of full flavor!
